Full Ship Management

Seatrade’s ship management is characterized by a full-hearted involvement by all members of the team in ensuring that the ships operate in accordance with our ‘Safety, Service & Speed’ policy. Seatrade has a solution-focused approach, pragmatic and hands-on. Combined with structured working methods, and an effective Quality Assurance system, this process safeguards proficient ship management. Our broad knowledge and expertise enable us to deal with any situation in a tailor-made way.

Open communication between the ship’s crew and the various departments within the company is crucial in achieving good results. Every vessel is supported at all times by our Technical, Crewing, Operations, Certificates and Purchasing Departments. The way a ship is managed is the shared responsibility of these departments. The ship is considered an integrated business unit, supported by our group of specialized managers ashore.

The Vessel Information System

One of the company’s assets is the Vessel Information System (VIS). This is an in-house custom built computer application which is used both onboard of the vessels and in the offices. VIS entails monitoring the processes of maintenance, stock control, procurement, surveys and event reporting.
With VIS, all relevant information – from the ships and from the office – is available at both ends. This shared information platform is vital for joint control and decision-taking.
