Crew management

A capable, well-trained crew onboard is a key factor in successfully operating a vessel. We have, throughout the years, distinguished ourselves by cultivating our own pool of seamen who are well-educated and trained to provide quality service. Seatrade makes an effort to stimulate crews, and improve their qualities.

Seatrade presently employs over 1500 seafarers of a number of different nationalities, including Dutch, Italian, Filipino and Russian. We keep in close touch with our crewing agents all over the world.

The Cadet Program

Our crews are reliable, efficient and service-conscious. We are able to maintain a high standard onboard, because the tasks and responsibilities of those involved in our cadet training schemes are clearly defined. Moreover, computerized versions of the cadet training books and assessment-forms assist our young seafarers on the route to the top.

Professional development

Seatrade offers seamen the opportunity to continuously develop and improve their skills, which results in promotion. From the supporting ranks to management level, targets are set and means and support are offered. Professional development is guided in our unique environment.
